The Texas Vet Board Is Pushing to Eliminate Independent Equine Care Providers

The Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners has proposed rule changes that would make it illegal for equine chiropractors, PEMF providers, acupuncturists, holistic practitioners, and bodyworkers to independently serve your horses. The meeting is April 21, 2026. The comment window is closing.

This could set a precedent for every state in the country.

This industry didn’t just give me a career. It led me to my wife, to my family, and a purpose bigger than myself. Every morning I wake up on our ranch, I am reminded of what is at stake- not just for me, but for every horse owner, every professional, and every person whose life has been shaped by these animals.

And right now, that way of life is being threatened by people who have never stood in a barn at 2 AM, never built a business from nothing serving horses and the people who love them, and never had to fight to protect something they built with their own hands.

I am not willing to sit back and watch that happen quietly.

So I started doing the research. Reading the actual documents. Asking the hard questions. And sharing what I find, plainly, factually, and without apology, because our community deserves the truth.
